The members of the Lanna Journey teaching team have spent their careers in practice — managing lending portfolios, advising on estate transfers, facilitating family conversations about inheritance, and reviewing investment prospectuses on behalf of individual clients. They bring a kind of practical familiarity with the material that cannot be acquired from academic study alone.
Each course module is co-developed by instructors with relevant domain expertise. The Masterclass, for example, includes a practising solicitor who handles Thai inheritance cases, a licensed financial planner, and a family therapist who specialises in the emotional dimensions of legacy conversations.
Process & Methodology
A Curriculum Built Through Listening, Not Templates
Our courses began with small-group sessions in Chiang Mai in 2019. The content was not adapted from an overseas framework or a financial planning certification syllabus. It was assembled from conversations with adults who told us, honestly, what they did not understand, what they feared, and what they had never been taught.
We review and revise the curriculum before each new cohort begins. If a change in Thai inheritance law has taken place, the Masterclass reflects it. If a participant cohort last year raised a question the course hadn't addressed well, the revision addresses it. This is a living curriculum, shaped continuously by the people who use it.
Customer Service
Every Enquiry Receives a Personal Response
We do not use automated enquiry systems or form letters. Every message sent to Lanna Journey is read and answered personally by a member of the team, usually within one working day. If you are uncertain which course would suit you, we will ask you a few questions and give you an honest view — including whether none of our current offerings are the right fit.
Enrolled participants have a named instructor contact throughout their course. Private check-in sessions are scheduled individually, not at fixed group times, so they fit around existing commitments.
Value & Pricing
Transparent Pricing, Considered Value
Course fees reflect what is actually included: instructor time, private sessions, printed bilingual materials, post-completion follow-up, and — for the Masterclass — specialist guest sessions with a lawyer and a therapist. We do not add hidden charges after enrolment.
Payment arrangements are available for the two higher-level programmes. Participants who need to defer their enrolment to a later cohort due to unforeseen circumstances are accommodated without charge.
